I’ll say this about Remys work; It gives you a strong, ticklish urge to ‘run outside’ and actually have fun!

Remy Is a young man who is of Zimbabwean origin and currently based In Johannesburg. I love making cool stuff, creating opportunities and breaking bread with people of my generation.

Q: Who would you say your influences are, and how do you artfully respond to them?
I’m influenced by people I meet that just look good and give off great energy. Everybody knows I work off energy, that’s what brings me to approach strangers at events or collaborate with people.

Q: How do you overcome creative blocks?
I take breaks or collaborate with others, but that doesn’t really happen to me. If anything, I need more time to be creative as I don’t have enough at the moment!

Q: What do you see for the future of the art scene in your area?
The future of the art scene? Phew thats a tough one; There’s no shortage of talented artists, I believe that everyone is pushing to be great within their desired fields and that’s pushing the bar higher and making a certain standard quality of work as a barrier to entry which is very good! So the future is extremely safe!
